What is with my generation and the thong?

I don't get it. I'm 23. I hate thongs. They go up your crack and make you uncomfortable all day. I've tried to get on the band wagon I guess you could say and tried to wear thongs for a whole week as sort of an experiment to see what all the fuss was about but I hated it. It didn't make me feel sexy it made me want to pick my butt! I figure if I need to not show panty lines I'll stick with boy shorts.
