How long does it take to set up a business bank account?

i work at a small company, the owner, myself, and two part time employees. the owner is cuttently changing banks, or so he claims, but it is taking forever. they have been negotiation for months. does it normally take this long. reason i ask is that there have been signs that the company is in financial trouble, and i wonder if i need to be job hunting. i think he might actually be trying to get a loan and trying to revamp the business with that, but unsure.
