Why are Yahoo!Answers's suspensions permanent?
It doesn't solve anything, people can make a new account in like 5 minutes. I think Y!A should make them last for a period of time, not permanently. Like 1-2 weeks. And then explain in an email how the user's conduct was wrong, so that they can learn their lesson. Cause I've received a few violations for stupid reasons, and when I send them appeals they can't even back up the violations, even when I tell them how they don't go against the TOS and etc. It really pissed me off when Y!A suspended the account I had since 2008 for a really stupid violation, and it's essentially gone forever. I'm not a troll or anything. I answered and asked so many legitimate questions. I guess sometimes I honestly did things against TOS but it wasn't on purpose, or it was with good humor. You know the type of answers I'm talking about. Sometimes I'm sarcastic, I'll admit. But I think Y!A is treating us very bad because I had reached a very high level and now it's all gone. They didn't even respond to my appeals. I recently even got a violation for asking why some people are racist against blacks. How does that warrant a violation?? it's a legitimate question. I think Y!A needs to revamp this system A LOT. how in the world can we let Y!A know, because I think this is the main complaint with Y!A.
